There is nothing more fun than having a crush! I’m not talking about your typical “girl likes boy” crush (or vice versa). I crush on everything. Mainly I crush on Style. You know those people who can go in to a closet of basic items and in 20 mins put together an outfit that looks right off the runway? Yeah… I’m not one of them. When I spend 20 minutes in a closet of basic items, I come out looking, well, basic. But I can draw. So when I see someone looking amazing, I draw the hell out of it and live vicariously through my illustrations.

Today’s Style Crush is the fabulous Ms. Tracee Ellis Ross. Tracee rocked this head to toe Azzedine Alaia a while back on the BET’s Black Girls Rock stage and it must be said- I. Absolutely. LOVE. This. Look!!!! Her style is always on point but when your mama is The fabulous Ms. Ross how could it not?
One day I’m going to step out this fab and ain’t nobody gon’ be able to tell me nothin’!!
Don’t fret Grammar heads. I knew what I was doing there. That’s a little double negative slang for ya’.
The cool thing about this illustration is that I was actually able give this to Tracee in person. Her reaction was priceless. And now we’re besties.
