Recently Time Magazine released it’s Time 100 List of the most influential people in the world. This year Misty Copeland, a soloist with the American Ballet Company, made that list. As a mother of 4 I am so grateful that, more and more, my children (in this case specifically, my daughters)have examples of women who look like them, kicking down doors that have traditionally been closed… And when society, or authority figures, or even history said they couldn’t do something, they looked them in the eye and said, “Watch me.”
