It’s no secret that I love awards season. Hair, Makeup, Fashion, all inspiration for fashion illustration. This year’s Emmy Awards did not disappoint!
There were two looks that completely took my breath away. First- Teyonah Parris in Francesca Miranda!
Who knew polka dots could be so chic?! Stunning!
Next is the fab Kerry Washington in Marc Jacobs.
This look was 30’s Flapper meets old Hollywood Glam! I absolutely loved it and I’m not the only one. Ms. Kerry made every best dressed list. But the most impressive part of this look was the fact the this dress made it’s debut just 3 days before during NYFW. The kind of wizardry it took to pull this off, I’ll never know. I’m just thrilled it happened.
I typically watch award shows for the fashion over the actual awards but there was this moment that made me smile and tear up and hold my breath and exhale at the same time.
Congratulations Viola Davis on making history as the first black woman to win an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her role as Annalise Keating on my favorite show How to Get Away with Murder! Bravo Ms. Davis!
Until next time,
